A glass wall in the bathroom

July 2021
A glass wall in the bathroomIf you think that the use of glass walls in the bathroom requires great creativity to maintain functionality and safety, and it is technically difficult to do so, then you are very wrong. A glass wall is a solution that will work in any bathroom, regardless of the size or shape of the room. What's more, it can help solve many unusual bathroom problems. A huge advantage of glass over brick walls is the fact that they do not shade small bathroom rooms. It does not have to be boring - glass for such applications is available in many variants or even with prints.

A WALL OF GLASS IN A SMALL BATHROOM

A classic shower cabin is not the only alternative to a small bathroom. If we have a recess or a corner, there are quite interesting possibilities of using glass walls. In the absolutely minimalist version, one glass wall is enough to separate the shower space from the rest of the bathroom. You can also opt for a shower enclosure placed on tiles, creating the so-called wet room. Once the bathroom has a bathtub, you can improve its functionality by adding a rain shower and a bath screen, which will reduce splashing water.

A GLASS WALK IN SHOWER

In the larger bathroom, the glass wall can take the form of a walk-in shower enclosure. This very impressive type of shower is extremely easy to install and at the same time very practical - especially when used by children, elderly or disabled people. In its purest form it is only one, big glass wall. Or, walls can surround the shower or be movable.

DIVIDING SPACE IN A LARGE BATHROOM

A glass wall does not have to be an integral part of the shower. It can divide the bathroom space in any way. Installed at the sink, it will protect against splashing water, while at the toilet, bidet or urinal, it will provide a bit of intimacy and will have a hygienic function, limiting the spread of bacteria.

A GLASS WALL - LITERALLY!

You can think of glass as a building material and replace a whole wall with it, for example one that divides the bathroom and bedroom. For this purpose, you can use a large glass panel. The glass can be milky white or colorless - in both variants it will help light up the bathroom.
